What is microblading?

Microblading is a tattooing method to create hairline and hair stroke simulations in the brow area to enhance the appearance of fuller looking brows.  This differs from traditional permanent cosmetic methods because we can create a very realistic hair pattern which has a softer and more natural appearance. Manual Microblading is the future of eyebrow enhancements because of the natural, realistic look it creates. Imagine waking up every day with fuller looking, perfectly shaped brows without the worry of makeup smudging, getting them wet, or constantly applying makeup. This is the perfect service for someone with more sparse brows.

Preparing for your microblading service

Before Care:

  • Do not work out the day of the service

  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil or Ibuprofen 24 hours before service

  • No alcohol or excessive caffeine 2 days before service

  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before service. Electrolysis no less than 5 days before service. Do not resume any hair removal for at least 2 weeks.

  • If you do have eyebrow tinting, it should be done or removed no sooner than 48 hours before service, and 2 weeks after service.

Taking care of your brows

After Care:

  • Avoid getting the brow area wet for at least 7 days. This includes keeping them as dry as possible while in the shower.

  • Don’t apply makeup for at least a week. The pigment needs time to settle into the shallow cut strokes in your skin.

  • Your brow may flake and scab during the healing process. Don’t pick at the scabs or peel the flaking skin, or itch the skin.

  • Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until your brows are completely healed. (no more flaking skin or scabbing)

  • Try to keep your hair from touching the brow area until it is healed. This is because any particles, oil, or hair product can disrupt the healing process. Brows should be as clean as possible.

  • Talk to your Artist about any healing cream.

  • Once healed, it is very important to continue protecting your brow area by applying SPF throughout the day to prevent fading of pigment.
