WHY CLEANSING YOUR LASHES IS IMPORTANT

Cleansing the entire eye area and lashes before an application is crucial for many reasons.

Clients, washing your lashes every time you show up to your appointment is heaven-sent, show up 5 mins early and wash away! You're giving your artist more time to put new lashies on WHOO!

After receiving a full set of lash extensions, the normal routine is to keep the new lashes CLEAN, that's it! This is the best way to ensure you are eliminating natural oils, residue, etc. and giving the new glue an environment to do what you want it to do best, stick to your natural lashes for a long time.

Clean lashes = strong glue bond.

LOVE YOUR NEW LASHES?

cleansing your lashes can maintain your beautiful new relationship for as long as possible. Unfortunately, our bodies can become allergic to anything at any time. so NOT cleansing will only build on the weaknesses of your own body and a reaction could happen much sooner than necessary, if at all. Fingers crossed your not the one, wink wink!

Keeping a good routine of cleansing will help avoid build and infection.

Demodex- mites that sleep inside your eyelash follicles during the day and only come out to excrete or procreate on your eyelashes at night. These excretions and the mite itself are very irritating to your eyes especially in the morning when you wake up. NOT CLEANSING will cause this mite to grow larger and larger and excrete more, YUCK!

BLepharitus- a common eye condition characterized by the often chronic inflammation of the eyelid, generally the part where the eyelashes grow. Again, resulting in inflamed, irritated, itchy and red eyelids. Typically this is caused by excess growth of bacteria, blockage of the eyelid oil glands and sometimes allergies.

HOW TO POTENTIALLY TREAT:

Cleansers containing a small amount of tea tree oil have been found to help reduce the risk of these symptoms. Add just a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to your foaming wash (just a few drops of Tea Tree is SAFE for the lash extensions).

CLEANSE your lashes daily (2x if necessary) to clear the buildup. Apply foam and work in a downward motion (NOT side to side) for the best results. This will keep the lashes from becoming tangled with one another causing a not so pleasant appearance. Once you've cleansed the lashes, blot dry and finish with a brush thru after the lashes have air-dried!

So come pick up or order some wash today!!
